You just watch as life goes by
For there is nothing for you nearby
As you look in the past
To see what went so fast
You can't believe your eyes
There was nothing there but lies
It started un-dyed
Even if he lied
He had my all
Though it was taken as optional
He gave up and quit
You feel inadequate
Pushing over the domino
He says he has to go
Sitting under unclear light
Life becomes a hellish blight
You feel like you've died
You can't believe the ride
But you go with the uncertain tide
You can't sit and hide
You have to preside
For those that you guide
They are your love

I LOVE your poems!
ReplyDeleteThat is serious poetry, my friend. Poems are powerful things...you have a talent. I was thinking...you should come out to hawaii and learn to surf with Zac and I. Another fertile field of poetry subjects... :)
ReplyDeleteWow-I'm impressed. You have a real gift for communicating through the written word. Keep writing (and sharing).
ReplyDeletePretty powerful stuff, Taylor. I think Ms. Morgan would be proud. Keep posting.
